Contact & booking

Start with the bike, the symptom and the ride you need it for.

Tell us what has changed: a noise, slow shift, soft brake, recurring flat, wheel rub or a general maintenance concern. Clear details help us prepare for a focused inspection when you arrive.

For a smoother intake, include the bicycle type, main symptom and any recent part changes or adjustments.

Repair request

Tell us about the bicycle.

Before you drop off

Remove loose accessories that are not related to the repair, bring any unique locking keys or proprietary parts needed for access, and note when the symptom is easiest to reproduce.

When a noise is intermittent

Try to remember whether it appears while pedalling, coasting, braking, turning, standing on the pedals or riding over uneven pavement. That detail can shorten diagnostic time.

For recurring flats

Tell us whether punctures happen at the same wheel, after a specific route or soon after inflation. We can inspect the tire, tube, rim tape, rim and pressure setup together.

Help us prepare

Useful booking details make the first inspection more efficient.

You do not need to diagnose the bicycle yourself. A short, specific description of what changed is more useful than guessing which part has failed.

01

Describe when it happens

Tell us whether the symptom appears while pedalling, coasting, braking, turning, climbing, shifting into particular gears or riding over rough pavement.

02

Mention recent changes

If the bike was recently stored, transported, adjusted, fitted with a new tire or involved in an impact, include that detail. Recent changes can narrow the inspection quickly.

03

Explain how you use the bike

Daily commuting, recreational riding and longer weekend routes place different demands on tires, brakes, wheels and drivetrains. Use helps us interpret wear.

Drop-off checklist

Bring the bicycle in a condition that lets us reproduce the problem.

Leave the components related to the complaint installed unless we have asked you to remove them. If a noise depends on a particular wheel, rack, pedal, bag mount or other bicycle-mounted component, bringing the bike in its normal riding configuration can make the source easier to identify.

For electronic shifting or integrated bicycle accessories, bring any proprietary key, charger or control item that is required to operate or remove the relevant component. Personal loose items that do not affect the repair are better removed before drop-off.

For shifting problems

Note the gears in which the issue is strongest and whether it happens only under heavier pedalling pressure.

For brake problems

Describe whether the concern is noise, rubbing, weak response, uneven feel, vibration or a lever that behaves differently than before.

For recurring tire problems

Tell us which wheel is affected, how quickly pressure is lost and whether the problem follows a specific route or riding condition.

Serving Ottawa riders

A central workshop for everyday maintenance and mechanical troubleshooting.

Our Wellington Street West location serves riders bringing in commuter, hybrid, road and recreational bicycles. If you are unsure whether the bike should be ridden to the workshop, describe the issue in the form before your visit and keep the bike out of use if a mechanical problem appears severe.

Booking details help us organize intake, but final repair scope is based on the physical inspection of the bicycle.
